Description: We’re in search for a ridable Shire or Clydesdale. Might be interested in a big-bodied cross. I am a student, intermediate rider, and I am looking for a new mount. I am not a large rider what so ever. I ride english and need a horse that can walk, trot, and canter without problems. Minimum age four, maximum age of ten as I want a horse who’s in his/her prime. Will be used on trails, fox hunts, hacking, pleasure, at small local shows, in public, near traffic, with and without other horses. The catch is, I need a special horse that will stand out in the show ring as well. Forward moving, soft mouthed, great movement is prefered. I need a horse that I will be able to trust and not have to continuously re-train, while at the same time, have a fun, reliable, and exciting[not deadhead] mount that will keep me riding until my legs give out. If you have a super quiet trail buddy horse, save your email for someone looking for leisure, please. I need a horse that will move when I ask and settle when we’re not on the go. Dressage experience would be a fantastic bonus, but not required. I have a lot of time, care, patience, and love to give to our next barn member. My price range is $2k-$7k but I might stretch the price for the perfect horse. If you’re across the country, I’ll need to take into consideration the costs of transport and coming to try him out. I can offer a horse a plentiful home in the heartland of Amish country, Lancaster Pennsylvania. Note that I will geld if I purchase a stallion. Please email Dana Mills at derangedfox@aol.com or call me at 717-665-0182 Noon-5:00pm call time preference, but flexible.
